ENTROPY IN PROTOPIA: DEMYSTIFYING EMERGING CREATIVE ECONOMIES was a collaboration between Rendrd, Meta and Artscape Daniels Launchpad. Will Seviz, the founder of Rendrd, organized the event to explore Afro-surrealist themes of belonging, the immigrant experience, and speculative futures. The goal of the event was to feature a panel of experts who could discuss the emerging technologies and the barriers to access them. Additionally, the event showcased the Meta VR headset and an interactive art showcase from local creatives. The ultimate aim of the event was to empower underrepresented creatives through the use of cutting-edge technology. A deep dive into the intersection of culture and technology, Entropy In Protopia examines belonging, cultural preservation, and future possibilities through an afro-surrealist lens.
